Today on the train I listened to a man preach. No, he yelled, from 125th to 59th, about Christ and how his wife became a lesbian. It made me think very hard about how I want to live in a world where I am free to be my own atom, but that I want to circulate in and out of a nucleus that accepts me, her and even the screaming man. And I don't want him to have to scream anymore when he talks to Jesus and the crowd on the 5 Express to Grand Central Station.
