Will no one speak of this? (Part 2)

Piggybacking off my earlier post, there is more evidence of some real fucked up things going on.

Dr. Menlo has a bunch of links on this site, including a graph exhibiting bias in the electronic voting towards Bush. There's also a follow up from Greg Palast arguing that Kerry actually won. Unsurprisingly, the media has passed on the story. Lastly, there's more cataloguing of voter irregularties.

(Most of these stories have lots of other links launching to more stories with more evidence of spoilage and/or electronic voting discrepancies.)

The question that must be asked is: Why would the Democrats nor the media say anything?

Hypothesis A: Maybe this is all just wishful thinking and/or grasping at straws on the part of people who desperately didn't want to see another Bush presidency.

Hypothesis B: The Democrats are so invested in the system that they'd rather lose an election than see its legitimacy stressed again. One of the great tools in keeping the populace sated in the U.S. is pushing the idea that the U.S. is this great beacon of democracy despite all evidence to the contrary.

Exit polling has always been an accurate way of determining how the election will play out. At least, until this year. Diebold provided and programmed the electronic voting machines, donated heavily to the Bush campaign, and the head of Diebold promised Bush to deliver the election to him. Cases such as the Ohio precinct that had 360-odd voters registered, tallied 4,258 votes for Bush. Or the heavily Democratic precincts in Florida where the machines registered 300 votes for Kerry, and though hundreds more were cast, they were not counted. The machine had reached it's limit. Democracy has died right in front of us, and people are blaming the exit polling for being wrong, when it was the official results that were incorrect.

Mike is right about the exit polling, altho I think it first stalled in 2000 and 2002--but was completely accrurate, literally, for decades. No one can now say that there's no proof-there's a mountain of it on the web. Of course, most media mentions of this except the guy on MSNBC (can't wing a spelling of his name, starts with an H . . . Hoberman?) goes like this: "A few glitches, nothing that could have swayed it to Kerry . . . all conspiracy theories and no evidence." Man, this story goes back to Chuck Hagel and his machines in '96 in Nebraska . . . and no way Max Cleland got beat legit in Georgia--oh yea, Bev Harris found a folder on the Diebold site titled 'Rob Georgia' . . . Check out The Blogging of the President and Something's rotten in the state of Denmark for more . . . and listen to Randi Rhodes as well. You think I like yelling about this? I don't want to be here--but this is what happened. This is the truth, as murky and unsightly as it is. Why hasn't this story been on TV? Bev Harris says her producer friends who have been in the biz 20 years say the story is "locked down." Bev Harris is a grandmother, btw--not very conspiracy theory-esque. Bev Harris has the facts and I challenge and doubter or corporate mofo to interview her about it. Corporate media has an interest in keeping Bush--President of Viacom/CBS recently admitted it--on record, that he wants Bush to win because it would be good for business. ABC owned by Disney which wouldn't show Moore movie, plus NBC owned by GE which is in the weapons business--you do the math. To the uninformed, it sounds like "conspiracy theory"--to people who have read a few books, it's fucking obvious. Karl Rove was caught pulling dirty tricks in elections back when he fucking 19-20--why are people giving these criminals the benefit of the doubt? Plus, in addition to the criminals in the administration, actual ex-cons work at these voting machine companies . . . I could go on and on like this . . . btw, American Samizdat has a ton of links on it and an all new look, svelte . . . can we get Bush out? Maybe not, tho a second Watergate is the best we can hope for. Can we delegitimize the election? We better--they're now bringing out the fucking tanks on protestors. Can we get rid of these paperless machines once and for all? If you ever want to have a Democratic president, you better. You want to sit on your hands and wait 'till a smoking gun appears? Go see Atrios--who recently was bragging that he was the first "shrill" blogger, and now makes fun of shrill bloggers on this issue. Whatever. Oh, and back to your question Zagg--are the people who think it was stolen in denial? I think the people who dismiss the stolen election story are in denial--in denial that the left worked their ass off and actually won and American isn't that dumb. Kerry won in a landslide according to the exit polls. The exit polls weren't wrong.
