What is this plant?

could be an orchid, though not blooming yet.
feed it lots of nitrogen, and you will see a result.

It definitely looks like a cactus of some kind. Which kind, I can't say for now but my mother has a plant like it (the texture of the leaf more than the shape) so I will ask. Planethalder.

I just bought 8 of these and forgot to ask what they are called! All I know is not to give them much water. I think it is a cactus!!
