Scripting News: 1/29/2004:
Here's the epitaph on Dean's of the Internet. It was 98 percent hype, two percent substance.
I'm glad this fell apart so quickly, because there's still time to do it right. Over at the Gothamist, "This is dot-com".

I know you hate Dean, man, but linking to Scripting News for any reason other than to mock Dave Winer? I'm embarassed for you.

The Scripting News has been the best election web log this year, by far.

What a compelling argument!

I'm convinced.

I'm no Deaniac, but for the sake of argument: why did the Dean campaign fall apart? One theory says the Clintons themselves had a hand in his character assassination. Also, Benedict over at American Samizdat seems to have evidence, or at least an idea that the preference of Kerry over Dean is linked to the Diebold machines, notoriously run by GOP ops. Remember, too, that while Kerry indeed, is better than Bush (anyone is except Joementum), he is also a member of the Skull and Bones.

Links for this Clinton theory?

Well, I haven't read as much about it, but people I know who read about these things a lot more than me whom I respect believe it . . . I saw a couple articles about it when the Iowa primary happened and not as much since, and forgot to blog it at the time . . . going onto google I found this:

Is from the Free Republic and obviously biased, but not so full of mindless vitriol until you get to the comments section . . . and perhaps the stuff about Hilary running is still a right-wing wet dream, but it does go over some interesting points, like for instance, the letter that USA Today published from Dean to Clinton urging action in Iraq, which most probably could only have come from the Clintons . . . etc.

Also, see libertythink.com for more disturbing stats on the correlation between the Diebolds and the Kerry wins, tho why this would be--when Rove is reported to have wanted to run against Dean--I cannot explain.
