Do you have more detailed info for the origins of "matriotism"? What does FPA 1991 refer to? Thanks much! I need this info for an article I'm writing on the subject.

During Desert Storm in 1991, I was sitting at my desk, and heard on the radio that our defense force had invented a missle and named it the 'patriot.' That evening, i invented a word, asking myself what does a matriot look like?

All this and more awaits you on the other side of the link!

Thank you, Frances. This is very interesting--I'm discovering that several of us have spontaneously invented this word, independently of one another (great minds think alike). Surely, this is a very good sign. May I have permission to quote your post in my article? Do you have more to say about your matriotic vision, or have you written about it elsewhere? Kathleen

holy cow, kathleen, we don't know frances payne adler, and we aren't her either. this here is a weblog that reviews things.

if you are going to quote frances payne adler, you certainly need to read her original material and ask her, not us, for permissions. clicking on these words may help you. then again, maybe not.
