If odd bits of news information is what you seek — you’ll be easily delighted in this site, but unfortunately there are many sites out there quoting random bits of news, and in no way does Random Walks come out on top.

What could we do to make randomWalks more compelling? I just thought of some ideas, but then realized that they would just make rW into rw.

What are your ideas?

Post more often, post to a wider variety of sources, post more links per post, post more posts of a personal nature. All of these things take more time and effort, though, which is why I fall short of them.

There might be such a thing as posting too often, though. Right now rW is kind of overwhelming, and I don't have time to investigate every item. But a few weeks ago it was a little slow.

I find rW incredibly compelling as is, but then again I'm a big fan of one-link-posts, too.

The criticism that rang truest to me was the part about the "cryptic" sidebar items. Is there a reason that there's no prominent, straightforward "About rW" page?

I'd rather see too much than too little.

The sidebar has always just been my bookmarks, basically. As far as the categories, it's only ever been way more cryptic than it is now, I fear. I didn't think this was too bad.

As for 'about' -- I feel the site speaks for itself, and I've never had anything in particular to say about it. I'm open to anybody at all offering words for an about page, or suggesting a different strategy for the sidebar for that matter.

Better yet, create your own sidebar like a handful of editors have, and even create the AboutPage on the wiki while you're at it.

Despite my above comments, I thought that review was mostly tosh. I'm with adam in that I've never thought rW really needs an about page -- though where did the editors' page go?

what you site really needs is more jokes, pictures of boobs, and possibly a fart generator. oh wait, that's ilovebacon.com. never mind.

don't go changin'.
