How do you think his comments would have been taken if they were to have been written in free verse?



On one hand, free verse judicial commentary would be seen as horrendously avant-garde.



On the other hand, modern poetry, having eschewed rhyme as old hat for so many years, has rendered rhyme as almost comical, hence the teapot tempest we see here.
