I've been in my office all day, so no, not really. There are cops all over the place, though, and traffic is lighter than usual. I saw that much walking from the Metro to work. Also, two guys on the Metro were having an earnest conversation about the ills of capitalism, an all-too-rare occurrence in these parts.
It wasn't a reporter, but a "news assistant," if I remember correctly. I looked into it. No one you ever hear on air. And they weren't arrested, they were just detained for 20 minutes.
So I didn't expect this to be a huge mobilization, but it was definitely much smaller than I expected. We need to do a better job getting people in to DC for the Oct. 26 anti-war protest.

rW DCers. It sounds like a big mess down there? Anybody have any first-hand accounts?

Everyone on the subway home on Thursday was an anti-authoritarian activist. I could see it in their eyes.

I heard that an NPR reporter got arrested at one point. Is that true?
Adam, never look anti-authoritarians straight in the eye. They could infect you with anti-capitalism!
