internet radio back from dead?

Internet radio stations are closing by the hundreds because they can't afford to pay expensive new royalties. But a compromise may be on the horizon.
According to Minnesota Public Radio's Future Tense, all may not be lost.

Comments

Speaking of radio, Adam Curry reminds us that digital (interference-free) AM radio is on the spectral horizon as well.

And the U.S. digital radio company iBiquity is already working on this on its own, European coalition or what-have-you aside. Unfortunately there are some flaws with digital AM at night, which are still hopefully being ironed out. So it's lagging behind FM at the moment.
