I'm not sure what you mean, gwen. That we shouldn't be concerned? Forgive me if I'm reading this wrong, but he came in second in a runoff -- which means it's now him against Chirac. The far right against the radical right -- good choice! I lived in France during the '80s when, in one election, Le Pen got a whopping 7 percent. We were all in a panic then, holding seminars at the university, trying to figure out where the racists were among us. All that over 7 percent! And now he's two points behind the leader -- no model of diversity and tolerance himself -- in a runoff election. It's scary.
