WEF Protests News and Chronology
Monkeyfist's WEF Protests News and Chronology links to a report of five women arrested in lower Manhattan for a banner drop ("Bush and big biz agree that people with AIDS drop dead").
If you want to follow the WEF news at one site, this Monkeyfist page is probably your best bet.

I don't know if it's possible to get online, but WBAI is doing a lot of WEF coverage all weekend. Amy Goodman, Mimi Rosenberg, others.

Stopping the transmission of AIDS is the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's top global health priority.
Yup. Big business says 'drop dead'. Pesky facts.

One of the folks who authored that proposal is a close family friend and former employee of the foundation. I have no doubt that they, backed by Bill Gates, are working dilligently to stop AIDS. But less than 3,000 died in NYC on 9/11, and we are going to spend 100s of billions of dollars on military ops when all is said and done. 37,000,000 (and rising daily) have died of AIDS. Where are the priorities?

AIDS gets a lot of press because it's "sexy" never mind that a lot more instances of it are self-inflicted (unsafe sex, drug use), as opposed to things like cancer.

I'm looking forward to finding out how AIDS is sexy. I'm not looking forward to being "inflicted" with 120 Billion dollars of defense spending over the next 5 years.
